About

we created the group for modding Star Wars Empire AT war. we have called it the “Alpha-Blue” Modding group - EAW Modding Alliance.

The Star Wars games we are modding right now is Empire AT War and Forces of Corruption - the expansion for that game. We’ll be putting up a gallery and downloads section for any mods were releasing and any free stuff that you can use for your own mods too.

This thread will be here to inform you of new rules.
  1. If you have mod ideas, post the thread in the Classifieds section. However, if your mod idea is of a particular nature, you may start a thread in either the Mapping, XML Editing, http://everythingeaw...display.php?f=9Skinning, or Modeling section.
  2. If you have a question or technical problem with a mod that has a thread, post those coments is the designated thread or go to the mod's website.
  3. If you wish to promote a mod, post a thread in the Mod Advertising section. You may make a thread in the General Modding section, but it is to answer questions about the mod and technical issues. Your mod's thread in the Mod Advertising section should feature updates from the mod team its self. All question should be placed in the coresponding thread in the General Modding section.
  4. If a thread goes a month from the last reply date, it is subject to be closed.
  5. Threads that have been closed/inactive for two full months are subject to deletion.
Failure to follow these rules will not result in a ban, however Admins or Moderators, may move, merge, rename, or delete your threads to create a more organized forum.

#1. No Spamming. (Off topic, useless posts. ex: "Lol!")

#2. MSN Speak - The forums are not MSN. Mod teams that treat it as such will have their thread locked.

MSN style chat to be used on forums. Please make posts meaningful and understandable. Do not use words like "U" instead of "You". When posting make your posts clear and easy to read. When posting just posting one words answers to boost a post count is discouraged. People are strongly encouraged to participate in the forums to their full potential.

#3. Use proper English. (At least, don't use 1337 speak)

#4 - General Attitude

- Be polite and helpful. Eg. If a newbie asks a 'stupid' question, instead of directly insulting him, explain the matter to him correctly.

- No excessive use of foul/abusive language is allowed.

- No flaming/trolling/bashing other users. If someone is acting like a retard, the moderators will handle it, NOT you. By keeping a neutral and diplomatic view on things, you'll not only avoid punishment, but also earn respect from others.

- Do not show authority unless you're part of the staff. Eg. Continually telling topics to be locked/moved/deleted and so on. Or posting topics about what's going to be added to the next version of the mod. I know this is a bit unclear, especially if you want to help. But stick to helping other users on this forum who need it, not us. We don't want your help, but if we do, then we will ask you.

#5 - Flooding, Spamming & Doubleposting

- Flooding and spamming is punishable on all boards, with a lighter eye kept on the spam section. Even if the section says spam, it doesn't mean you're allowed to fill it with 100 similar topics.

- Do not repeatedly post one-word-posts on several forums. Especially not if they do not contribute to the topic of the thread in any possible way.

- Don't intentionally doublepost. Instead of doubleposting, edit your post. If you want a topic bumped, and you're the last poster, you can PM a moderator about it. And he will use the "bump" ability to lift the topic back up to the top of the page. Topics that have been dead older than a month will not be bumped.

Warned for accidental or casual spamming/doubleposting, banned after excessive flooding/spamming/doubleposting.

#6 - Posting Rules

- Posting disgusting/offensive pictures/material will could get you banned. This includes links to pages such as Tubgirl etc. You will warned not to do it first before any infraction or ban.

- Posting pictures/links to pornographic material will get you an infraction and an eventual ban if you continue to do it.

- Posting links to illegal downloads - will give you an infraction and an eventual ban if you continue it.

- Repeatedly posting in wrong sections will get you warned. If you keep doing it, you will receive an infraction.

#7 - Topic Necroing/Ressurection

- You are topic necroing, and violating this rule if you post in a thread where the last post is older than a month (30 days).

- The OP (Original Poster) of the thread is allowed to update his own topic at any time. But in that case, it has to be an actual update, NOT just posting "lol that was funny" etc. , after the topic has been dead for 6 months.

- staff are allowed to necro anything they want if they see it holds benefits.

- If you post in a sticky/pinned topic, it will NOT be considered necroing.

You will get warned at first. If you keep necroing, you will get an infraction.

#8 - No advertisments allowed flashing banners in signature, or posts. They will be removed if found. If continued offending user will recieve a warning.

#9 Excessive use of smiles. The use of excessive smilies can detract from the thread, and slow peoples browsers down trying to load all those images/graphics. Several smilies all posted at once in a continuous line is not acceptable. By this I mean rows of smiles in a topic in order to spam the topic with smilies.

#10 - Multi coloured text use. The use of multi coloured text to emphasis a word is ok, multi coloured all over your post is not acceptable. Posts written entirely in multi colour's are annoying to other users. You might think its cool and don't feel bothered with it, but please have consideration for other members reading the forums.
